Bipolar

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a mental health condition that affects a person's mood, energy level, and ability to function. People with bipolar disorder experience episodes of extreme highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression), which can last for days, weeks, or even months.

During a manic episode, a person may feel extremely elated, euphoric, irritable, or agitated. They may have racing thoughts, engage in risky behaviors, and have difficulty sleeping. During a depressive episode, a person may feel sad, hopeless, lethargic, and have trouble with everyday activities like eating, sleeping, and concentrating.
